Charity & Fundraising during the Mayor of Charnwood’s Year: Living Without Abuse & Dogs Trust Loughborough

World Record Swimmer and Mayor of Charnwood for 2024/25, Cllr Dr Julie Bradshaw MBE raised much money for her two chosen charities, LWA (Living Without Abuse) and Dogs Trust Loughborough.

LWA (Living Without Abuse) offers support to individuals of all genders and ages, with a particular focus on helping younger people affected by abuse.  Anyone needing help can access their services via the local helpline — 08 08 80 200 28 — which is available 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm at weekends.

Dogs Trust Loughborough cares for and rehomes dogs when they are in need. They also lend a helping hand to owners who may be struggling to look after their beloved pet.

Two cheque presentations by Dr Bradshaw were made to them, one for £3555.93 and the other being £1774.43 with other monies going directly to the charities during her Mayoral year.
